Abstract

Mufti Rasheed Ahmad Ludhyanvi was born in 26 September 1922 in Ludhyana India. He received his Islamic education under a great saint and scholar Maulana Hussain Ahmad Madani in madrissa Darul-o-loom Devband. He was born a sofi, an eminent Islamic scholar, a great philanthropist, and established writer and a great reformer. He wrote more than 150 books. He also established an Islamic university, Jamia-tur-rasheed. Thousands of scholars are his pupils, followers and disciples. He imparted them both Aloom-e-shariyat and tareeqat. He founded an Islamic NGO naming “Al Rasheed trust international” for helping the suffering humanity. During these days’ society was ridden with un-Islamic trends and practices Mufti Rasheed ahmad ludhyanvi emerged to rooted out these evils from society. It will not be wrong to say that mufti Rasheed Ahmad ludhuyanvi like his spiritual mentor (Maulana Hussain Ahmad Madani) was the real inherent of Ulama e deovband. The aim of this article is to over view of biography and in valuable services which he rendered for tasawuf , fiqqa and noble cause of humanity.
